I've filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know-how and expertise

exodus 31 I've filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know-how and expertise
i can ask god to fill me with the holy spirit, skill and expertise and wisdom

Sabbath
12-17 God spoke to Moses: "Tell the Israelites, 'Above all, keep my Sabbaths, the sign between me and you, generation after generation, to keep the knowledge alive that I am the God who makes you holy. Keep the Sabbath; it's holy to you. Whoever profanes it will most certainly be put to death. Whoever works on it will be excommunicated from the people. There are six days for work but the seventh day is Sabbath, pure rest, holy to God. Anyone who works on the Sabbath will most certainly be put to death. The Israelites will keep the Sabbath, observe Sabbath-keeping down through the generations, as a standing covenant. It's a fixed sign between me and the Israelites. Yes, because in six days God made the Heavens and the Earth and on the seventh day he stopped and took a long, deep breath.'"

acts 8

Many who could neither stand nor walk were healed that day. The evil spirits protested loudly as they were sent on their way. And what joy in the city!

they sent Peter and John down to pray for them to receive the Holy Spirit. Up to this point they had only been baptized in the name of the Master Jesus; the Holy Spirit hadn't yet fallen on them. Then the apostles laid their hands on them and they did receive the Holy Spirit

Yes. God is around; God turns life around

psalm 14

exodus 13

God went ahead of them in a Pillar of Cloud during the day to guide them on the way, and at night in a Pillar of Fire to give them light; thus they could travel both day and night. The Pillar of Cloud by day and the Pillar of Fire by night never left the people.

GOOD GUIDES ME AND NEVER LEAVES ME!

– Abide in me, and I in you.

John 15:4-5 – Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing

I dare to believe

psalm 10
I dare to believe that the luckless will get lucky someday in you. You won't let them down:

1-3Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit.

luke 18

1-3Jesus told them a story showing that it was necessary for them to pray consistently and never quit.

6-8Then the Master said, "Do you hear what that judge, corrupt as he is, is saying? So what makes you think God won't step in and work justice for his chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won't he stick up for them? I assure you, he will. He will not drag his feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the Son of Man find on the earth when he returns?"

Unless you accept God's kingdom in the simplicity of a child, you'll never get in.

27"No chance at all," Jesus said, "if you think you can pull it off by yourself. Every chance in the world if you trust God to do it."

You are famous, God, for welcoming God-seekers,

psalm 5

You are famous, God, for welcoming God-seekers, for decking us out in delight.

luke 17

One of them, when he realized that he was healed, turned around and came back, shouting his gratitude, glorifying God

PSALM 7

9-11 Close the book on Evil, God, but publish your mandate for us. You get us ready for life: you probe for our soft spots, you knock off our rough edges. And I'm feeling so fit, so safe: made right, kept right. God in solemn honor does things right, but his nerves are sandpapered raw

17 I'm thanking God, who makes things right. I'm singing the fame of heaven-high God.

luke 13

Put your mind on your life with God. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires your total attention. A lot of you are going to assume that you'll sit down to God's salvation banquet just because you've been hanging around the neighborhood all your lives.

god pays attention to me!

luke 12

7"What's the price of two or three pet canaries? Some loose change, right? But God never overlooks a single one. And he pays even greater attention to you, down to the last detail—even numbering the hairs on your head! So don't be intimidated by all this bully talk. You're worth more than a million canaries.

8-9"Stand up for me among the people you meet and the Son of Man will stand up for you before all God's angels. But if you pretend you don't know me, do you think I'll defend you before God's angels?
LORD, DON'T LET ME BE ASHAMED OF YOU!

AN IMPORTANT LESSON:

16-19Then he told them this story: "The farm of a certain rich man produced a terrific crop. He talked to himself: 'What can I do? My barn isn't big enough for this harvest.' Then he said, 'Here's what I'll do: I'll tear down my barns and build bigger ones. Then I'll gather in all my grain and goods, and I'll say to myself, Self, you've done well! You've got it made and can now retire. Take it easy and have the time of your life!'
20"Just then God showed up and said, 'Fool! Tonight you die. And your barnful of goods—who gets it?'
21"That's what happens when you fill your barn with Self and not with God."

If God gives such attention to the wildflowers, most of them never even seen, don't you think he'll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you?

The place where your treasure is, is the place you will most want to be, and end up being.

For you, God, have put my life back together.

psalm 4

I have God's more-than-enough, More joy in one ordinary day 7-8 Than they get in all their shopping sprees. At day's end I'm ready for sound sleep, For you, God, have put my life back together.
luke 11
10-13"Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we're in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn't think of such a thing—you're at least decent to your own children. And don't you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?"

28Jesus commented, "Even more blessed are those who hear God's Word and guard it with their lives!"

Keep your life as well-lighted as your best-lighted room."

recall god's mercies every day!!!

January 10 - Recall God's Mercies "This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassion's fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:21-23)
Dear Delumeau, God is faithful. He's full of compassion. His mercies are new every morning. As a believer, you know all that. But simply knowing it is not enough. For it to do you any good, you have to recall it. You have to remember it again and again in order to rekindle your hope and stir your faith. So, make it a point to remind yourself of God's faithfulness every morning. Remind yourself of the benefits that are yours in Jesus. What are those benefits? Psalm 103 spells them out: 1. He forgives all your sins. 2. He heals all your diseases. 3. He redeems your life from destruction. 4. He crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies. 5. He satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's. 6. He executes righteousness and judgment for you against oppression. He sets you free. 7. He makes known His ways to you. 8. He gives you His grace and mercy in times of need. Make it a point every morning this year to say those things out loud to the Lord. Stand before Him in prayer and recall His mercies to you. Keep it up and by the end of this year you'll be stronger in faith and more confident of God's love than you've ever been before. Don't just settle for knowing God's blessings. Remember them every day and watch them come alive in you.
Scripture Study: Psalm 103:1-17

She went to God to find out what was going on.

genesis 25

7-11 Abraham lived 175 years. Then he took his final breath. He died happy at a ripe old age, full of years, and was buried with his family.

21-23 Isaac prayed hard to God for his wife because she was barren. God answered his prayer and Rebekah became pregnant.
She went to God to find out what was going on.
I NEED TO TURN TO GOD MORE!

All the nations of the Earth will get a blessing for themselves through your descendants. And why? Because Abraham obeyed my summons and kept my charge—my commands, my guidelines, my teachings

luke 10

So on your knees

they'd have been on their knees long ago, repenting and crying for mercy

THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER

All the same, the great triumph is not in your authority over evil, but in God's authority over you and presence with you. Not what you do for God but what God does for you—that's the agenda for rejoicing."

21At that, Jesus rejoiced, exuberant in the Holy Spirit. "I thank you, Father, Master of heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the know-it-alls and showed them to these innocent newcomers. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way.
"Martha, dear Martha, you're fussing far too much and getting yourself worked up over nothing. One thing only is essential, and Mary has chosen it—it's the main course, and won't be taken from her."

THE WAY TO ETERNAL LIFE:

"That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself."

obedience brings blessing

god is so great! that laura's mother came is a sign for my healing, was a blessing and a gift from god!

luke 8

13"The seeds in the gravel are those who hear with enthusiasm, but the enthusiasm doesn't go very deep. It's only another fad, and the moment there's trouble it's gone.
14"And the seed that fell in the weeds—well, these are the ones who hear, but then the seed is crowded out and nothing comes of it as they go about their lives worrying about tomorrow, making money, and having fun.

LORD, DON'T LET ME BE LIKE THIS!

LETR ME BE LIKE THIS!
15"But the seed in the good earth—these are the good-hearts who seize the Word and hold on no matter what, sticking with it until there's a harvest.

48Jesus said, "Daughter, you took a risk trusting me, and now you're healed and whole. Live well, live blessed!"

I TRUST GOD FOR MY HEALING
