12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

john 1-6
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

receiving jesus as the lord of my life and believing in him gives me the right to become a child of god!

From the fullness of his grace we have all received one blessing after another.

LORD, LET THIS BECOME REAL TO ME, ALTHOUGH I DON'T FEEL LIKE IT TODAY!

3In reply Jesus declared, "I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.[q]"
4"How can a man be born when he is old?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother's womb to be born!"
5Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

for God[aa] gives the Spirit without limit.

you do not have the love of God in your hearts

FATHER, LET ME HAVE YOUR LOVE IN MY HEART!

What must we do to do the works God requires?"
29Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent

I MUST ONLY BELIEVE!

Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought.

JAS. 1-5

1,5-8If you don't know what you're doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You'll get his help, and won't be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who "worry their prayers" are like wind-whipped waves. Don't think you're going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.

12Anyone who meets a testing challenge head-on and manages to stick it out is mighty fortunate. For such persons loyally in love with God, the reward is life and more life.

showing us off as the crown of all his creatures.

GOD, PLEASE LET ME BECOME THE CROWN OF YOUR CREATIONS AGAIN

In simple humility, let our gardener, God, landscape you with the Word, making a salvation-garden of your life.

It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares e

HEB. 9-13

Practically everything in a will hinges on a death. That's why blood, the evidence of death, is used so much in our tradition, especially regarding forgiveness of sins.

22-25So let's do it—full of belief, confident that we're presentable inside and out. Let's keep a firm grip on the promises that keep us going. He always keeps his word. Let's see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.

HELP ME TO TRUST YOU ALL THE WAY:

But anyone who is right with me thrives on loyal trust; if he cuts and runs, I won't be very happy. But we're not quitters who lose out. Oh, no! We'll stay with it and survive, trusting all the way.

It's impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.

14-17Work at getting along with each other and with God. Otherwise you'll never get so much as a glimpse of God.

28-29Do you see what we've got? An unshakable kingdom! And do you see how thankful we must be? Not only thankful, but brimming with worship, deeply reverent before God. For God is not an indifferent bystander. He's actively cleaning house, torching all that needs to burn, and he won't quit until it's all cleansed. God himself is Fire!

5-6Don't be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, "I'll never let you down, never walk off and leave you," we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I'm fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?

The grace of Christ is the only good ground for life.

16Make sure you don't take things for granted and go slack in working for the common good; share what you have with others. God takes particular pleasure in acts of worship—a different kind of "sacrifice"—that take place in kitchen and workplace and on the streets.

JUDE

Relax, everything's going to be all right; rest, everything's coming together; open your hearts, love is on the way!
they are just singing, it is my joy to honor you! can i say that or proclaim boldly, you are my king or amazing love, it's my joy to worship you, amazing love that my king would die for me!

20-21But you, dear friends, carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ. This is the unending life, the real life!

22-23Go easy on those who hesitate in the faith.

DON'T LET ME HESITATE IN THE FAITH

6I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

PHILEMON
6I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.

SHARING MY FAITH IS LINKED WITH UNDERSTANDING GOD'S PROMISES

HEBREWS 1-8

14Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?

DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE ANGELS TO HELP ME?

, fix your thoughts on Jesus,

12See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God.

12For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow;

16Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

7During the days of Jesus' life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission.

12We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
I NEED TO BECOME AN IMITATOR OF FAITH

25Therefore he is able to save completely[ae] those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.

WALKING IN LOVE

WALKING IN LOVE

1. TIM 1-4

1-3The first thing I want you to do is pray. Pray every way you know how, for everyone you know. Pray especially for rulers and their governments to rule well so we can be quietly about our business of living simply, in humble contemplation. This is the way our Savior God wants us to live

8-10Since prayer is at the bottom of all this, what I want mostly is for men to pray

Everything God created is good, and to be received with thanks. Nothing is to be sneered at and thrown out. God's Word and our prayers make every item in creation holy.

Exercise daily in God—no spiritual flabbiness, please! Workouts in the gymnasium are useful, but a disciplined life in God is far more so, making you fit both today and forever. You can count on this. Take it to heart. This is why we've thrown ourselves into this venture so totally. We're banking on the living God, Savior of all men and women, especially believers
